I. Origin of the Conference
一、會議緣起
On April 25, 2012, National United University (NUU) and four other Taiwanese universities jointly signed an academic exchange agreement with the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Japan.
2012 年 4 月 25 日，國立聯合大學與臺灣另外四所大學共同與日本國立高等專門學校機構簽署學術交流協議。
The four universities were National Taipei University of Technology, National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, Cheng Shiu University, and Chung Chou University of Science and Technology.
該四所大學包括國立臺北科技大學、國立高雄第一科技大學、正修科技大學及中州科技大學。
The National Institute of Technology represents 51 National Colleges of Technology in Japan.
日本國立高等專門學校機構代表日本全國 51 所國立高等專門學校。
Over the years, National United University has maintained close interaction and cooperation with several Kosen colleges in Japan.
多年來，國立聯合大學與多所日本高專持續保持密切交流與合作。
These partner institutions include Kisarazu College, Ube College, Tsuyama College, Anan College, Niihama College, Kochi College, Kagawa College, Tokuyama College, Matsue College, Hakodate College, and Kagoshima College.
合作學校包括木更津高專、宇部高專、津山高專、阿南高專、新居濱高專、高知高專、香川高專、德山高專、松江高專、函館高專及鹿兒島高專。
The forms of exchange include student exchange programs, student internship programs, and visiting scholar programs.
交流形式涵蓋學生交換、學生實習及訪問學者等多元面向。
Through these programs, faculty members and students from both sides are able to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of each other’s cultures.
透過各項交流計畫，雙方師生得以拓展國際視野，並增進對彼此文化之理解。
Building on this foundation, NUU and NIT have further promoted research collaboration among faculty members and students.
在既有合作基礎上，國立聯合大學與日本國立高等專門學校機構進一步推動師生之研究合作。
By co-organizing this biennial international conference, faculty members and students are provided with opportunities to share research results and develop academic collaborations.
藉由共同辦理雙年國際學術研討會，雙方師生得以分享研究成果並拓展學術合作機會。
II. Purpose of the Conference

The purposes of the conference are as follows:

To provide a platform for faculty members and students to exchange research ideas and practical experiences.
提供教師與學生交流研究理念及實務經驗之平台。
To increase opportunities for faculty members and students to present research results and engage in academic discussion.
增加教師與學生發表研究成果與學術討論之機會。
To broaden the professional vision and international perspectives of faculty members and students.
拓展教師與學生之專業視野與國際觀。
To establish and strengthen research collaborations among faculty members.
建立並深化教師間之研究合作關係。
To strengthen the partnership between National United University and the National Institute of Technology, Japan.
強化國立聯合大學與日本國立高等專門學校機構之夥伴關係。
